And yes, Todd 100% correct on the goaltending analysis...
We just need Smith to stay healthy and Rittich to continue to play well when called. Does Rittich get more games (outside the proverbial back to backs) ?

Nice. Now those are good sized boobies. Anything more than that is gross.
He's bin his awesome self! Everyone can see it but Glen! - K-man25
Except he's 3rd on the team for average toi, only behind Gio, and Brodie. Maybe he actually does see it, and it's just you that is blinded by your hate for Gulutzen.

The fact he doesn't have more TOI than Brodie is head scratching in itself.

How so? The difference is mainly the pk time. Dougie is great, he's the best offensive defenseman on the team, but his skillset isn't ideal for the pk.

You are right for the last while(10 games or so) but why does it take GG so long to figure it out. Brouwer was getting more minutes than Dougie earlier in the year. & Dougie was getting next to nothing PP time. So given your comment of his skill set of being the best offensive defence man on the team, which I also happen to agree with, this is a head scratcher. GG did the same thing last year too. Frustration is warranted.

He averages 3 minutes less a game, and that's the average over the whole year. If you go back and check toi over the last 10, it's right in line with the average, except for 1 game I think where Brodie was up around 27 minutes.
With the first pp using 4 forwards and 1 d, they need a guy who excels at quarterbacking. That is where Brodie and Gio are much better than Dougie. Dougie is great at jumping up in the rush, and finding the open areas for 1 timers, but he needs that other guy to run the pp. If Versteeg was healthy, I think you could get away with Dougie as the only dman.
However, Cameron runs special teams, not Gulutzen. 5v5 time there is 30 seconds between Brodie and Hamilton's average toi, and Gio is in between them.
I just don't understand this blind hate for Gulutzen some people have. He's a young HC who is doing a really good job, and he's continuing to learn and get better.

First off, Gully is the head coach & is accountable for his assistant coaches. That's like employees telling the Owner how to run their business. The PP has been horrible until the last few games. It took until the 2nd half of last year to get the PP up into the top 10 & coincidently, Hamilton had a monster 2nd half in points. This PP should have 2 D on it with the plethora of offensive minded D we have. Coach is accountable for the PP even though Cameron is the supposed mastermind of it. If I was coach, Cameron would have had his a$$ escorted from the building.
